REMARK:
This starkly dramatic painting is of a tablet dissolving in a glass of water. The tablet has the numbers '2020' on it, a quiet reference to the pandemic year. The multitude of subtle reflective colours in the glass, and the repetition of the fizzing tablet in the facets have a haunting beauty. The realistic depiction of the dispersing medication together with the large scale of the glass against the dark black background, make this a striking modern painting, encapsulating the times.
