ANNETTE JANSEN
Born in Brisbane Australia in 1969, Annette is a self taught artist spending many hours exploring and developing new ideas. In her new collection she has ingeniously displayed the use of mixed media to create colourful, bizarre, thought provoking, pieces, challenging our preconception of death. The heart and skull are powerful symbols which fascinate the living. A celebration of life as well as a reminder that nothing lasts for ever. The only certain thing in life is that it will one day end.
Annette`s unique and detailed artwork has embraced elements of pop art, utilising oil paint, acrylic paint, spray paint, chroma colour, gold leaf, and diamond dust.
As a mature student she studied Graphic Design at Derby University gaining a BA Hons degree. Annette is a prolific artist producing many paintings over the last few years which have been exhibited in the UK.
