This is a portrait of a young Haitian girl called Palenque. She is heavily disabled. Her arms are distorted and twisted. She is in constant pain. Today, she is celebrating her 16th birthday. Her eyes are full of joy and spark of life, and she smiles beautifully. She is totally overwhelmed by an unexpected present from a stranger - a mobile phone
