How to Buy Art

Here is something you need to consider when it comes to purchasing a piece of artwork.

As a fine art specialist, Deep West Gallery is an Urban art Pop art and Street art online gallery based in the UK. We only sell genuine and original artworks, everything on our website comes straight from the Top emerging artists all over around the world.

There are over 450 pieces of selected artworks available to choose and buy throughout our website. Whether you’re buying a painting for your home or as a gift for someone special, there is sure to be something worthy of your investment.

For each artwork we display in our website, comes along with the following four factors:

1. Artist's biography

When you’re buying an art for investment or home décor purpose, and to get something worth its value, please be sure to find out this information. To get an idea of the artist’s background, previous exhibitions and publications. Based on their popularity, you will know what you are paying for.

Please feel free to ask us questions about the art or artists you are interested in at our Contact Page, or email us (

2. Size & Colour

The key to successfully and wisely invest in art relies on figuring out what kind of art you actually like and decide how it will fit in with the rest of your home.

Size and colour are the two major criteria for selecting art to fit its surroundings. For any particular space, art that is too large will be overwhelming, and art that is too small will become lost and look out of proportion. Please bear in mind that the white wall will be always the best background to present the artworks.

3. Medium

This will be helping you to know what methods and materials have been used to get this artwork done. Either this is a limited version print or original painting, please keep them away from direct sunlight.

4. Price

At Deep West Gallery, we have art that ranges from a very affordable £90.00 all the way up to £5,000 plus. Whether it is £150, £500 or £5,000, please choose a realistic budget and stick to it. If it is a large piece for your wall at home £200 might not enough for what you want, but if it’s a small print you are looking for, £200 is all you will need.
